Manager, Project Manager - Strategic ProjectsThe Channels Strategy and Experience (CXS) Chief of Staff Team supports an organization of approximately 1,000 associates within the Retail Bank's Channels and Operations team. As a Strategic Project Manager on the CXS Chief of Staff Team, you will have the opportunity to both lead and support strategic business projects. In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will directly impact the Retail Bank organization. You will work with smart, talented people who will challenge you to excel. We're seeking someone that can leverage good judgement when autonomously solving complex white space problems. This person should be highly organized with proven ability to contribute to and drive strategic projects and execute on critical business and cultural priorities. They should have a strong attention to detail and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.As a Strategic Project Manager on the CXS Chief of Staff Team, you will:Plan, design, manage, and execute project plans for large scale projects for CXSManage logistics and deliver key deliverables for CXS Senior LeadersProvide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project deliveryDrive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and/or escalate as neededLeverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentationForge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitmentsLead CXS business routines and identify ways to improve and streamlineExhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the workUse Google tools and features to organize and enhance information sharingWork with a diverse group of individuals with a wide array of skills and perspectives who will challenge you to excelOur ideal candidate will have:Good judgement and ownership when making impactful decisionsOutstanding collaboration and communication skills which are essential for interacting with key stakeholders across all levelsVery strong critical thinking and excellent problem solving skillsA proven track record of process and/or project managementVery strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to see and explain the big picture to senior managementOrganizational agility to adapt to changing demandsExcellent judgment and maintains confidentiality when necessaryHighly motivated willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job doneAbility to identify and implement creative solutionsWork experience achieving results with complex projectsLocation: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 5 years of experience in project or process managementAt least 3 years of experience with Google Suite ProductsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military experience6+ years of experience in project or process management3+ years of Chief of Staff functions experience3+ years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiencesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project ManagementNew York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Manager, Project ManagementRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project ManagementWilmington, DE: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
