Senior Cybersecurity Architect Lead

The Senior Cybersecurity Architect Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping the security landscape at Cox Automotive. This position is dedicated to establishing the principles, standards, and design patterns that will empower the creation of secure products and enterprise tools across diverse multi-cloud and on-premises environments. Your main focus will revolve around safeguarding multi-cloud infrastructures and services, as well as on-premises systems. You will collaborate with fellow cybersecurity architects specializing in application security, SaaS, and network security to fortify our defenses. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and propose pertinent cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Lead collaborative groups to define and disseminate cybersecurity guidelines among product and enterprise architecture teams. Create secure design patterns that align with standards, allowing for effective implementation by engineering teams. Contribute to the establishment of governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cybersecurity to enhance overall architectural oversight. Conduct comprehensive analyses of risks to information systems' security and present innovative solutions. Engage with technical, development, and delivery teams to facilitate efficient and scalable release processes. Work alongside business and engineering teams to outline cybersecurity guardrails that ensure smooth adoption of secure design patterns. Participate in security events and incident response efforts, identifying design gaps and proposing preventive measures. Stay ahead of emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, providing recommendations for enhancements. Collaborate with key stakeholders across data and software domains to integrate security considerations into operational decisions. Work with cybersecurity peers to unify vulnerability management, risk and compliance, and cyber defense into comprehensive cybersecurity standards. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Practical expertise in securing AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems. Ability to articulate the objectives of cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent skills in customer service, writing, and presenting to executive audiences. Proven ability to build productive relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to adopt best practices. Consultative mindset for navigating complex topics with employees and leadership. Expertise in evaluating risks and providing actionable recommendations. Familiarity with cybersecurity architectures, including zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and containerization. Proficient in utilizing Agile methodologies and implementing solutions in Fortune 1000 companies. Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST) and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR). Experience with AI integration in architectural designs and establishing comprehensive AI governance frameworks. Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience in developing cybersecurity standards for all application layers in cloud and on-premises settings. Insight into application security, SaaS, network security, and DevSecOps. Knowledge in IAM, cryptography, access controls, and security protocols. Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Python, .NET, and Java. Familiarity with security tools like firewalls and web application firewalls. Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud enterprise solutions across various platforms. Experience within Big Four consulting or Fortune 500 environments is a plus. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) enhance candidacy. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $148,500.00 - $247,500.00 per year, which may vary based on factors such as location and candidate's qualifications. Additional incentive compensation may apply.
