Seeking a Registered Nurse to join the SarahCare at Riverdale Place Adult Day Health Center team. The ideal candidate will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our elderly participants within a safe and nurturing environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of our participants and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Certified Medical Assistant (CMAs) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAs).
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and specialists, as necessary.
- Participant in developing and implementing Person-Centered Individual Care Plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Manage the administration of medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Manage the appropriate disposal of expired/discontinued medications.
- Document necessary medical observations and daily record keeping.
- Update participant’s medication orders, treatments, and medical questionnaires as required.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, group discussions, and other relevant training.
- Participate in activities as needed.
- Conduct staff in-service/education on relevant topics as required.
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and ensure follow up.
- Document Administrative Reports as needed.
- Provide skilled nursing duties as required.
- Monitor participant’s vital signs as required.
- Request supplies and items needed for nursing through the Executive Director.
- Administer emergency CPR/First Aid as needed.
- Ability to safely lift and transfer.
- Assist in transporting participants.
- Perform wound care and dressing changes for participants with injuries or surgical wounds.
- Provide skilled nursing duties as required.
- Knowledge and skill in HIPAA compliance and confidentiality requirements.
- Responsible for environmental safety and sanitation.
- Always follow Standard Precautions.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) Georgia Nursing Board license.
- Clean criminal background check with no history of misconduct.
- Negative TB test result.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, Full-Time, 40 hr week
- No nights No weekends No overtime
- Location: In Person, Onsite
License/Certification:
- RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ALS/ACLS (Desired)
