Maury Regional Health is seeking a creative and strategic individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment to fill the position of social media specialist in the Marketing & Communications Department. 


The ideal candidate is highly motivated and will possess strong critical thinking, organizational, project management, analytics reporting and written and verbal communication skills. This position reports to the department director and will work closely with Marketing & Communications Department staff to collaboratively develop content, ensure deadlines are met, measure campaign performance and make strategic recommendations to improve consumer engagement.


Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications (MarCom) team to develop a comprehensive social media content calendar that includes, but is not limited to, physician promotion, patient/staff stories, health information, blog content, events, health observances and health system news via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and any emerging platforms.
  • Record, edit and produce video content to be used across social channels in alignment with defined content and strategies.
  • Monitor and engage with stakeholders on social channels, responding to comments, answering questions, identifying potential issues and responding daily. Also monitoring mentions, reporting as needed to appropriate leaders/staff.
  • Work with MarCom team to design, develop and place social media advertising to support patient engagement, acquisition and retention, monitoring results and making strategic recommendations supporting growth.
  • Monitor Google, Facebook and other reviews, responding on behalf of the organization and sharing with appropriate leaders/staff as needed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure social media downstream tracking through UTM codes and other methods to demonstrate engagement. 
  • Develop reporting dashboard to demonstrate engagement and drive recommendations for compelling and actionable content. 
  • Maintain alignment with MRH strategic priorities and social media policy, ensuring content is consistent with our brand and objectives.
  • Provide guidance for hospital marketing and human resources leaders regarding the effective use of social platforms for patient and employee acquisition.
  • Stay abreast of emerging platforms and trends, making strategic, best-practice recommendations for enhanced engagement and acquisition.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Required: Five years of related experience
  • Required: Advanced knowledge of all major social media platforms and associated reporting tools
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Preferred: Experience using Hootsuite and Adobe Creative Suite products
