Role Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Welding Inspector to join our team and ensure the highest standards of welding quality and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting welds and related processes to verify adherence to industry codes and project specifications. Your expertise will help us maintain the integrity of our structures and systems, identify and address potential issues before they impact operations, and contribute to the successful completion of projects. Qualifications

· 2+ years’ experience working around fabrication inspection of welded structures (heat exchangers).

· Good at explaining findings, writing up reports, and working well with others on the team.

· Will need to be proficient at interpreting fabrication drawings. Must have excellent understanding of welding, weld symbols, and weld inspection per AWS and ASME.

· Excellent attention to detail to spot issues and ensure welds meet all requirements.

· Familiarity with D17.1 Code (Willing to learn).


Responsibilities

· Conduct Detailed Inspections: Examine welds, materials, and weld joints to ensure they meet industry standards, codes, and project specifications.

· Verify Compliance: Ensure welding processes comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, such as ASME, AWS, or API.

· Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Utilize various NDT methods to assess the quality and integrity of welds.

· Review Documentation: Inspect welding procedures, technical specifications, and quality control documents to confirm accuracy and compliance.

· Identify and Report Deficiencies: Detect and document any defects or deviations in welding work and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders for corrective actions.

· Ensure Safety Standards: Monitor welding operations to maintain a safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

· Prepare Reports: Document inspection results, create detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of all inspections and findings.
