At Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, addressing a range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and educate patients while delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: The following duties and responsibilities reflect our expectations for this role: Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers. Provide compassionate, friendly care to all individuals seeking health services. Lead and support during emergencies, maintaining a comforting presence for patients. Adapt to fast-paced and high-stress environments with variable hours and locations. Conduct medical assessments and manage follow-ups for clinic patients, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation. Perform various medical procedures such as laceration repairs, pap tests, injections, and abscess drainage. Establish and oversee appropriate levels of medical care for patients. Engage with leadership to ensure operations align with medical policies and professional standards. Contribute to the development of policies that enhance medical practice and patient satisfaction. Take part in continuing education programs for staff and promote best practices. Ensure compliance with necessary licensing and accrediting bodies. Represent the clinic at internal and external meetings as needed. Guide other medical staff to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction. Requirements: To apply, you should have: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. An active state license as an APRN or PA. Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Board Certification. A current DEA license or eligibility upon hire. A current DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Current BLS certification. Schedule: Our full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule with 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.
