Scheduler Position At Fisk ElectricFisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Scheduler to join our office in Houston, TX. Since 1913, Fisk has been one of the nation's leading providers for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, structured cabling applications, integrated electronic security systems, and building technology solutions. Notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, MGM Grand and City Center projects in Las Vegas, Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, Minute Maid Park in Houston, and multiple airport expansions and data center projects.The project scheduler is ultimately responsible for:Driving and implementing internal scheduling toolsPerforming reviews and comparisons of GC issued contract monthly schedules and 3 or 6 week look-ahead schedulesUpdating/reporting to project team and office on project health and address any areas of concern monthly or as needed/requiredWorking with the project team to develop appropriate scheduling requirements utilizing the contract as baseline guidance, then adding other tasks according to the risk level for projectHelping develop QA/QC and commissioning scheduling, utilizing the contract schedule as baselineIncorporating change orders into baseline schedule and perform time impact analysis reporting and backup as neededIdentifying risk in weekly schedule comparison utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), along with both Primavera and Microsoft Project softwareInterfacing with owners and contractors on project progress versus milestonesCompiling schedule and progress reports (Actual vs. Plan)Defining primary, secondary, and tertiary critical pathDefining key milestone finish variance against the baseline schedule25-50% travel locally between Office/Jobsite locationsRequirements:5+ years of experience in a role as construction schedulerHigh school diploma or GED requiredCollege degree preferred but not requiredExperience in Ground-up construction; Healthcare, Water and Wastewater experienceExperience at a GC or other subtradeExperience in electrical project scheduling is preferredExperience with owner reps, general contractors, and subcontractors involved with the projectProficient in the use of Primavera scheduling systemsProficient in the use of Microsoft Project scheduling systemsProficient in Bluebeam and ExcelAbility to work positively and composed under time pressure and deadlinesSelf-motivated and proactivePossess demonstrated skill in identification and solving of problems in an individual and team structureExcellent organization, communication, and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with co-workers, contractors, sub-contractors, and customersFisk Electric builds extraordinary projects and we need exceptional talent.
