Senior Risk Consultant - Process Governance

Remote

ABOUT KALLES GROUP:

Everyone deserves to be secure. Our mission at Kalles Group is to help secure the future for companies of all shapes and sizes.

While our expertise spans multiple disciplines, our method remains consistent: building trust and relationship with people -- whether you are a client, a consultant, or--in this case--a candidate.

No matter what role you come from--whether you're an executive or just starting your career-you can expect our highest level of attention and respect. We want to find the right fit for each role, but we also want you to find the right fit for your career.

LOCATION:

This role can work remotely supporting our client based in Seattle, WA

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking a process governance expert to join our team. As a Senior Risk Consultant - Process Governance, you will bring your expertise to our client to implement a Process Governance and Documentation Workstream that delivers clarity, consistency, and simplicity for stakeholders interacting with these processes. The role will focus on designing, documenting and operationalizing a process governance framework while transferring knowledge and skills to the client's Enterprise Risk Management team for long-term ownership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design and Documentation:

•Develop a process governance framework, including templates, workflows, and supporting documentation. Align these assets with the technologies already leveraged within the ERM function.

•Create visualizations and process maps using tools like Visio or comparable alternatives (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro). These should provide clarity on roles, responsibilities, accountabilities, and workflows in an intuitive format.
  2. Mentorship and Training:

•Provide hands-on mentorship and training to ensure the client team gains the skills to sustain and support the program independently.

•Guide the team in documentation and governance best practices, emphasizing simplicity and stakeholder accessibility.
  3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

•Work with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure the governance program aligns seamlessly with broader ERM functions.

•Establish clarity regarding ownership, accountabilities, and roles while fostering alignment on program priorities.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Your values:
    • Integrity: You believe in doing the right thing, even when it's uncomfortable, seemingly inefficient, or costly.
    • Purposefulness: You have a desire to serve others with your skillset and an openness to continuous learning and growth.
    • Ownership: You stick to your commitments, follow up with action, and seek clarity in communication & expectations.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in process documentation and governance frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000, or similar).
  • Proficiency in tools like Visio or equivalent alternatives (Lucidchart, Miro, etc.) for process mapping and visualization.
  • Ability to lead workshops, mentor team members, and facilitate cross-departmental discussions.
  • Familiarity with workflow management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Confluence) is a plus.
  • Effective balance of detailed support with strategic oversight.
  • Strong communication and cultural alignment with collaborative environments.
  • Proactive in providing structured support aligned with the client's risk appetite and priorities.
  • Experienced in building trust and confidence through active mentorship and team engagement.
  • Previous consulting experience is always welcomed

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for additional incentives. The annual salary range for this role is $140,000-$180,000.
  • Work/life balance – we know there's more to life than work We encourage our team to pursue other passions, get outside, and spend time with family. We work with clients and consultants to set expectations for a manageable workload.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please fill out the form below (including uploading your most recent resume) and we'll be in touch We know imposter syndrome can be a barrier to many great applicants. We hope you'll still consider applying. That's why we've made the application process as short and simple as possible.
