Title: Registered Dietitian

Location: Big Spring, TX

Duration: 6-month contract with high likelihood to extend


Duties of the Dietitian:

  • Provide nutrition services for patients.
  • Complete nutritional assessments, provide consultations, education, and other nutritional services as assigned.
  • Analyze patients' health status, goals, dietary restrictions and track dietary intake and progress.
  • Consult with patients, families, and treatment team regarding nutrition needs.
  • Complete electronic medical record documentation.
  • Provide nutrition information to Food Service Director/Managers.
  • Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives


Job Requirements for all candidates:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with BS in Dietetics and or Nutrition
  • Must be Registered Dietitian (RD) with the National Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Must be a Licensed Dietitian (LD) with the State of Texas
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate with Physicians, staff, patients, and patients’ family


Requested Schedule:

  • Dietician will typically work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
  • Can telework 1 day per week
  • No holiday, after-hour, or weekend shifts
