Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. We are the trusted advisors that protect the pride of Vanguard with state-of-the-art security and fraud capabilities. Domain Architect - Security, Senior Specialist: Provides architectural leadership in shaping strategic, security infrastructure technology programs for the organization. Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researches information security standards; conducts system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studies architecture/platform; identifies integration issues. Designs the plan of the security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; articulates requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. Drives the implementation of security systems by confirming intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directs equipment and software installation and calibration; prepares preventive and reactive measures. Creates, transmits, and maintains keys; allocates resources for technical support; completes documentation. Creates test scripts that verifies security systems; validates incident response analyses; develops and conducts training programs. Assesses upgrades to security systems; validates security gaps; evaluates enhancements. Prepares system security reports to provide updates on data and trends. Educates job knowledge by having a deep understanding of emerging security practices and standards; participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations, oversees security awareness programs. Communicates complicated technical concepts effectively to a broad group of stakeholders. Possesses deep understanding of the competitive landscape and corporate and business unit strategies to provide context for security architectural decision making. Consults on cloud security technologies, tools and techniques. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. What it takes: Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of technology architect experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
