Aviation Program Specialist 1We are seeking a full-time Aviation Program Specialist 1 in our Scottsdale or Chandler, AZ locations. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical customer service/support related to transport category aircraft performance and weight & balance activities including supporting customer aircraft configurations, aircraft performance questions, change requests, and aircraft weight & balances changes.Essential Functions:Escalates customer needs as required, directing inquiries to proper departmentsSupports as first-level customer contact, receiving/answering basic questions, inquiries and requests pertaining to Garmin's aircraft performance productsAbility to learn/apply program management skills on programs and projects to ensure communications, scope, effort, milestones/schedule, risk management, and strategy are aligned with Garmin's initiatives, business model, and customer relationshipsResolves, tracks and/or routes customer issues or requestsAssists with providing technical support for Garmin aircraft performance and/or load planning productsSupports testing and deployment of Garmin products and solutionsMay contribute to technical writing and publication of aircraft performance data materialsMay contribute to development of customer training materialsSupports project management functionsInvestigate/determine root cause of operational events and failures with guidanceIdentifies issues with aircraft performance and/or load planning and support development of corrective actions with guidanceMay assist in coordinating internal resources to support customer needs for respective deliverablesCoordinates recurring meetings with customer, documents, and maintains related documentation in an organized mannerAssists with creation of status information to inform internal stakeholders of relevant program progress and issuesSupports analyzing program requirements and works with internal stakeholders to establish effort estimatesCommunicates status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor or mentorWorks collaboratively/professionally in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goalsApplies Garmin's Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeedPerforms on-call duty and after hours on-call coverage may be requiredSupports special projects as assigned with guidanceAbility to travel for customer support and trainingBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Business or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledgeOperational knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing aircraft operations with 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135 experience preferredMust demonstrate the capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debuggingDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with othersDesired Qualifications:Private Pilot's LicensePrevious work experience in Airline or Charter Operations, Air Traffic Control, Flight Dispatching, Flight Operations, or Aviation Program/Project ManagementGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
