Going beyond publicly-available data and job boards, we are the only technology solution that uses industry-verified data—from proprietary employer sources—to match educational inputs to workforce outcomes.

We are looking for a candidate who can proactively communicate, work, and contribute in a fast-moving environment. The candidate must possess technical aptitude and effective, respectful communication and interaction skills. Ideal candidates will be flexible, results-oriented, and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Data Scientist must be a self-starter and able to prioritize, make decisions, and bring clarity to ambiguous requirements. Specifically, we are looking for talent who recently finished their graduate studies to join our team in extracting meaning from data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute projects involving data collection, data analytics, and engineering under the supervision of a tech lead, and leading junior data analysts to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of processed data by addressing details meticulously and maintaining robust data collection processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate collaboration within the team and across different functional areas, ensuring transparency and consistency in data-related activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights in a business context.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with data collection techniques, including web scraping and data cleaning, and a strong understanding of data management best practices.
- Proficiency in designing and managing ETL pipelines using tools such as DBT, Apache Airflow, Databricks DLT, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
WHAT WE OFFER
AstrumU pays a gross annualized base salary range for this position between $110,000 and $125,000 based on qualifications, skills, experience, and company values and culture alignment. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical to allow for future and continued compensation growth. Additionally, the following key benefits are offered for this full-time role:
