Microsoft 365 Engineer- 100% Remote


Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader in the financial services space is looking for a remote M365 engineer. This engineer will manage the Microsoft 365 infrastructure for the organization. This role will manage all aspects of Microsoft 365 and surrounding infrastructure, escalated troubleshooting in partnership with the IT Operations team, and ongoing improvements to the Microsoft 365 platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and advanced troubleshooting for issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams around messaging and mail flow.
  • Improve and deploy features within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and toolset including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, OneDrive, Purview, Defender, and Proofpoint.
  • Lead the configuration of new E5 tenant and licensing.
  • Segment a 2K user tenant using administrative units, scope tags, groups, address lists, and other tools
  • Manage multiple Microsoft 365 tenants and streamline multi-tenant management utilizing tools in Microsoft 365 stack/third party tools
  • Create and maintain knowledge base/SOP's and process documentation for Microsoft 365 procedures

  • Experience using tools across the platform like Sharepoint, Exchange, Entra ID, Defender, Intune, Teams, Office, etc.
  • Working cross functionally with different teams to troubleshoot user issues
  • Comfortable creating and maintaining documentation and SLA's for an organization
