Systems Administrator With Secret ClearanceCALNET has a need for a Systems Administrator for a large IT Services Contract with the Navy in San Diego, CA. Four (4) years of system management experience. Required skills and knowledge include:Network Infrastructure:Computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologiesLocal Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) architecture and pathwaysBandwidth management principles and techniquesNetwork traffic (TCP/IP and OSI model)Performance tuning tools and techniquesRemote access technologiesVirtual Private Network (VPN) securityNetwork protocols (TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), directory services)Common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)File system implementations (e.g., New Technology File System (NTFS), File Allocation Table (FAT), Extended File System (EXT))Virtualization technologies and virtual machine managementSecurity Expertise:IT security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones (DMZs), encryption)Network security architecture concepts (topology, protocols, defense-in-depth)Cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilitiesNational and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policiesOrganizational IT user security policies (e.g., account management, access control)Data security standards (PII, PCI, PHI)System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniquesSoftware-based computer protection tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, antispyware)Knowledge of transmission records (Bluetooth, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Infrared (IR) transmission, Wi-Fi, etc.) and jamming techniquesSystem Administration:Server and client operating systemsSystems administration concepts and best practicesEnterprise IT architectureSystem/server diagnostic tools and fault identificationOperating system command line/prompt (e.g., ipconfig, netstat, dir, nbtstat)System maintenance procedures (cleaning, disk checks, reboots, backups, etc.)Cloud Computing:Cloud computing service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)Cloud computing deployment models (private, public, hybrid)Cloud security strategy and architectureMigrating workloads between cloud service modelsJob Requirements:4+ years of professional experience in systems administrationBachelor's degree in information technology or related field.Information Assurance Technician (IAT) II level Security+ CE OR CCNA Security, OR CompTIA CySA+ OR GIAC GSEC or SSCP.Secret clearanceThis opportunity is in San Diego, CA.
