Full job description

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or physician. RN will be responsible for administering medications, taking vital signs, performing wound care, and assisting patients with daily living activities. The RN will also be responsible for documenting patient care in the electronic health record system and liaising with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

Administer medications as prescribed by a physician or Director of Nursing
Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate.
Communicate with patients and their families about their care and treatment plan.
Document patient visits and treatment plans in the electronic medical records system
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as registered nurses, physicians, and therapists.
Complete patient assessments, coordination of care
Identify and report changes in the resident’s condition.
Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Valid Illinois Nursing License RN.
Experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
