Campus Main Campus, Utica NY Date Position Available 01/01/2026 Posted Salary $75,000 per year FLSA Status Exempt Benefits Eligible Yes If yes, please select: All Benefits Position Summary Information Position Summary There are openings for two (2) faculty positions as non-tenure faculty appointments that primarily teaches in the Master of Science Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program at Utica University. Although instruction will be held online, this position will require on-campus presence. On campus presence will also be required at the program’s Immersion Weekends held each term. While the full complement of duties is determined in consultation with the Chair of the Nursing Department and the Dean of Health Professions and Education, this position is based primarily on the needs of the specific Nursing programs and personnel being served, the essential qualifications and responsibilities are as follows; Location Utica, NY Application Deadline Full consideration by: Open Until Filled Yes Major Responsibilities Oversight in the curriculum design and delivery of the program: Oversight of designated nursing courses in the program. Collaborate with nursing faculty for curriculum development, delivery, and program assessment. Maintain the online learning management system course shells consistent with the nursing faculty expectations. Coordinate with practicum faculty regarding policies, procedures, and grading for designated courses. Teaching: Teaching duties will be established in consultation with the nursing program directors, Chair of Nursing, and the Dean of Health Professions & Education. Professional Development/Scholarship: Continue active role expectations congruent with American Associate of University Professors — Utica University (AAUP•UU) contractual agreement and professional interests. Accountability: Attend Department, School, and University-wide meetings and events outlined by the AAUP-UU contract. Make recommendations to the faculty regarding updating curriculum in the areas of course oversight. Driving Responsibilities Travel Supervises Education Required Certification Required Education & Experience Qualifications Registered Nurse Earned Doctorate in Nursing from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization. Earned master’s degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization Nursing degree(s) from an accredited school of nursing. Candidates must hold or be eligible for New York State and Florida registration as a registered nurse and as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Evidence of 5 years’ recent employment experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner Evidence of 3 years’ experience as an educator in a graduate nursing program. Online teaching experience is preferred. Minimum Skills/Abilities Able to demonstrate experience within the advanced practice nursing role such as critical thinking, health assessment, management of patients in a primary care setting, interprofessional practice, innovative healthcare initiatives, and conflict resolution. Must possess well-developed writing and verbal skills. Must have knowledge, skills, and experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Exceptional computer skills with proficiency using internet tools, Microsoft Office applications, Google Applications, and conferencing meeting technology. Experience teaching in an online classroom within a learning management system.
