Job Title: Sr. Staff Accountant

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Department: Accounting Department

Location: Corporate/ West Covina, CA


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Manage month end close and create the month-end reporting package.
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial statement reporting and analysis and assist the department with cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including variances
  • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Manage company line of credit, based on the company’s current Aged Trial Balance
  • Manage annual audits to ensure our accounting department complies to GAAP standards
  • Set up and maintain internal and external accounting controls (defining accounting policies and procedures, establishing internal controls, and manage external audits (sales tax, personal property tax, workers compensation, etc.)
  • Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures.
  • Manage organizational cash flow forecasting
  • Provide industry trend analyses for targeted categories.
  • Create and maintain revenue regression models.
  • Set up new processes and procedures, and opportunities for operational improvements
  • with integration and implementation of new licensing systems.
  • with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • direct reports and provide necessary training and guidance
  • with different departments on any ad-hoc analysis in relations to operations when needed


REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus or equivalent work experience
  • Strong budgeting and consolidation experience
  • Experience with accounting systems implementation experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task efficiently and take ownership as the go-to accounting professional in the company
  • Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
  • Must be willing to develop and grow with the company and have the desire to take on more responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Applicant should be a team player and be able to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work across multiple divisions.
  • Takes initiative and lead on projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in this fast- paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills.
  • Strong work ethic and follow through
  • Consumer Products experience a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressure
  • Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated initiative
  • Language proficiency in English and Chinese; oral and written is highly preferred.
  • 5 years progressive experience would be ideal.
