Medical Assistant - Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM Attire: Solid-color scrubs Location: Arlington, TX Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a patient-focused professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality care. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff through essential hands-on tasks, patient coordination, and adherence to clinical standards. Key Responsibilities Perform all duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Operate diagnostic equipment (without interpreting results). Remove staples from superficial wounds, perform dressing changes, and obtain cultures. Administer non-intravenous medications as directed. Collect simple specimens using noninvasive techniques; collect blood samples via venipuncture or capillary methods. Perform EKGs and conduct equipment quality control checks. Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using an autoclave. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification. Current BLS certification for healthcare providers. Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
