Senior Training And Development SpecialistJoin SCO Family Of Services as a Senior Training & Development Specialist and help empower staff through impactful training programs. Reporting to the Director of SCO's Center for Professional Development, you'll design and deliver engaging learning experiences, develop high-quality materials, collaborate with experts and leadership, and ensure training effectiveness through evaluation and continuous improvement. This role includes facilitating workshops and conferences, leveraging technology to enhance results, and maintaining accurate records. A flexible schedule is required for occasional evening and weekend sessions.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive training programs for all SCO Family of Services employees.Design and develop training materials: workbooks, facilitator guides, PowerPoint, handouts, pre/post-tests.Leverage technology and expertise to meet department goals.Collaborate with subject matter experts to create workshop content.Partner with CPD leadership to implement evaluation processes and measure training effectiveness and skill transfer.Facilitate sessions at annual conferences and external events.Participate in train-the-trainer and instructor walk-throughs.Evaluate and update existing training materials.Maintain accurate training records and attendance.Flex schedule for occasional evening/weekend sessions.Perform additional duties as assigned.Core CompetenciesKnowledge Management: Promote access, collaboration, social learning, and tech-driven knowledge sharing.Training Delivery: Ensure engaging, inclusive, and effective facilitation aligned with learning objectives.Experiential Learning: Use exercises to build awareness, challenge misconceptions, and develop skills.Transfer of Learning: Design materials and activities that support skill application post-training.Learning Technologies: Apply and integrate tech solutions effectively for diverse learning needs.Professionalism & Ethics: Model organizational values and maintain high standards in training delivery.Minimum QualificationsOption 1: BA/BS in human services + 10 years in field + 3+ years training experience.Option 2: Master's in human services + 5 years in field + 1+ year training experience.Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS.Ability to work in a diverse environment.Preferred QualificationsMaster's in human services + 10 years experience.Licensed clinician (LMFT, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW).Experience with LMS platforms (Relias, Cornerstone) and e-learning tools.Familiarity with webinar platforms (Go-To-Training/Webinar).Spanish language skills (preferred, not required).Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
