Well help you advance your knowledge and skills youll need to excel with us as you serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.It Would Be Even Better If You Also Had...Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or other related industry2+ years as a Tax ProfessionalWhat Youll Bring To The Team...Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, which includes developing local partnerships and managing office community involvementAssist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positionsServe as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concernsEnsure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolvedLead daily activities to ensure that all tax office associates work is completed according to deadlines, with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goalsBuild an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute on Service Standards recognizing outstanding associate contributionsLead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associatesCreate associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime managementPrepare tax returns, as requiredConduct timely performance reviews and partner with Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concernsYour ExpertisePrior experience working in a customer service, shift leader, or similar roleExperience supervising or managing peopleSuccessful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns)Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all other IRS and applicable state requirementsComputer proficient with the ability to use MS OfficeDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPassionate, determined and resilient with a customer-centric mindsetAble to work a flexible work schedule and flexibility in work assignments based on business needsHigh school diploma / equivalent or higherWhy Work For UsAt H&R Block, we believe and invest in our people by committing to their total well-being. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
