Join us and help shape the futureJob Summary:As a Journeyman Lead Electrician, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing electrical equipment and controls for industrial and commercial units. In this leadership role, you will report to the Electrical Lead and serve as a key mentor and supervisor to apprentices, electrical helpers, and general laborers. You will ensure that all work meets high-quality standards, adheres to safety protocols, and is completed efficiently and accurately.Who You Are:Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and layout drawingsSkilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, MEGGER testers, and light metersStrong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate team membersCommitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environmentPhysical ability to work in demanding environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditionsAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningKey Responsibilities:Interpret and apply schematic drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine material needs and installation proceduresLead the layout and installation of electrical raceways including conduit, wireways, and cable traysInspect and test electrical systems and control wiring using diagnostic tools and schematicsSupervise and mentor apprentices and electrical helpers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standardsPerform hands-on assembly and installation of electrical equipment and house utilitiesCollaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completionMaintain accurate documentation and report progress or issues to the Electrical LeadPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications & Experience:Completion of a certified journeyman apprenticeship program and current Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Idaho2+ years of experience as a licensed journeyman in an industrial or construction settingStrong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Experience with high-voltage equipment and industrial electrical systemsFamiliarity with control panels, control houses, and related electrical componentsAt JTS, we take pride in producing high-quality, American-made products while providing a workplace where employees can thrive.
