This critical role offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized obstetric care in a hospital setting, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns. Required Skills: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with current Virginia medical license or eligibility. Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Proven experience in inpatient obstetric care and delivery management. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with high-risk obstetrics. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations. Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Preferred Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in obstetrics. Prior locum or hospitalist experience preferred but not mandatory. Other Requirements: Availability to start on December 31, 2025, with weekend shifts required. Active medical license in Virginia. Compliance with hospital and state-specific credentialing and credentialing processes. Willingness to provide coverage on weekends for ongoing hospital needs.
