Job Requirements:

This position requires prior Case Packing Industry experience along with industrial mechanical, electrical and PLC knowledge to troubleshoot customer issues with packaging machines.

Requires the ability and willingness to travel. This position will require overnight travel up to 70% of the time for technical support. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate customer schedules.

Requires that the applicant live in central Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following (other duties may be assigned):

·        Technician will trouble-shoot mechanical/electrical issues with various packaging equipment machines, i.e. case sealers, case erectors and case packers.

·        Must be a self starter and comfortable working with people in trouble-shooting and problem solving situations.

·        Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be team oriented and possess a strong commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

·        To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·        Technician must be capable of Allen Bradley PLC programming and trouble-shooting. Electrical and mechanical knowledge is required in trouble-shooting problems

·        Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Technical schooling in electricity, electronics or equipment

1.     Has very good work ethic and habits. Self starter and able to work independently or with others with minimal supervision.

2.     Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork, reports, and records promptly.

3.     Has complete understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems.

4.     Test, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing machinery and controls.

5.     Experienced at reading and working from prints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

6.     Must be familiar with:

a.      Programmable logic programming using Allen Bradley (or equivalent) processors.

b.     Must be familiar with various servo programming languages, IEC-61131 standard.

c.      Must be familiar with Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel programming. I.e. Allen Bradley Panel view series and Telemecanique HMI’s.

7.     Provides technical assistance to customers via phone or in person at the customer’s facility. Must therefore have good analytical troubleshooting ability.

8.     Works occasionally at the Company’s facility but will primarily perform on-site personnel training, installation and repairing of Fallas equipment.

9.     Requires an Associate degree (preferably in Electrical or Mechanical fields) and/or 3+ years of relevant experience.

10. This position reports directly to the Service Manager.
