This position is key in ensuring we meet our objectives to grow globally and continue a leadership position in bringing innovative technologies to the industry safely.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead the cybersecurity function to deliver high-quality information security that aligns with organizational priorities and business goals. Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and operating model in consultation with stakeholders. Oversee the cybersecurity budget, manage an effective team, and drive staff development, hiring, and performance management.
  • IT Team Leadership: Represent IT as a whole, championing business and IT success as a spokesperson, business partner, and team member.
  • Internal and External Networking: Build internal networks across various departments and external networks with industry peers, vendors, and agencies to address common cybersecurity challenges.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at key industry forums and meetings as required.
  • Governance and Reporting: Establish and oversee a cybersecurity governance structure. Provide regular reports on the cybersecurity program’s status to enterprise risk teams, senior leaders, and the board.
  • Policy Development: Oversee the creation, approval, and implementation of security policies. Manage vendor and customer cybersecurity requirements.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and implement a targeted cybersecurity training program with metrics to gauge effectiveness.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Ensure consistent application of policies across technology projects and related disciplines such as privacy, risk management, and business continuity.
  • Risk Management: Advise on cyber risk posture, mandatory controls, and governance structures. Manage the cybersecurity budget and report discrepancies.
  • Risk Assessment: Facilitate cybersecurity risk assessment and risk management processes.
  • Framework Adoption: Ensure adherence to best practices and a relevant cybersecurity framework.
  • Policy Management: Maintain and update cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Incident Management and Resilience: Oversee cybersecurity incidents, monitor external threats, and develop resilience policies and incident response plans.
  • M&A Activities: Lead due diligence and post-integration activities related to information security for mergers and acquisitions.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work/education-related experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and IT or OT security.
  • Five years in a significant leadership role with demonstrated impactful decision-making and team management.
  • Experience executing programs that meet excellence objectives in a dynamic business environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, cybersecurity incident reporting).
  • Sound knowledge of business management and cybersecurity risk management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and IT.
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and collaborative, with the ability to convey cybersecurity and risk-related concepts to various audiences.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a cybersecurity team to achieve goals, even with "dotted" reporting lines.
  • Financial/budget management and workforce management experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement security strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international).


Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or similar credentials.
