Sr Pricing Analyst

Sr. Business Analyst, Pricing AnalyticsPosition Purpose: The Sr. Business Analyst, Pricing Analytics will support the efforts to provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to the development and execution of Home Depot Pricing Strategies. The Sr.

Analyst will perform analysis of data, build presentations, and will solve business questions using their insights, analytics, and judgement. The Sr. Analyst will also work with cross functional partners, including field personal, finance, merchandising operations, marketing and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution. The Sr.

Analyst will conceive, develop and implement a system and process to gather competitive pricing information from disparate sources; merchants, field personnel, third party providers and others. The Sr. Analyst will conduct detailed pricing and gross margin variance analysis by product by market and other ad hoc financial analysis to support program management. The successful candidate will translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures, guiding project teams to deliver systems that empower executive leadership with real-time, data-driven strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all phases of a project's life cycle including defining the business need, establishing criteria and business requirements, understanding the impact to the business and designing and rolling out the projectServe as a subject matter expert and perform research and/or analysis within assigned projects or category of businessEstablish and report on metrics of assigned projects or categories to gauge business valueDirect Manager/Direct Reports:Reports to Manager/Sr. ManagerNo associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performanceTravel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in the application of research findings to the retail environment, brand management or category management essentialUnderstanding of competitive intelligence and Home Improvement marketplace product and services knowledgeUnderstanding of pricing and statisticsProven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data. Proficient with SQL, Python, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Tableau and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)Prior experience in a consulting and/or project management role within a corporate environment preferred. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)Minimum Education:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
