In this highly collaborative role, you will design and develop robust software solutions that support self-service, usability, and informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll work end to end—from concept and analysis through design, development, and implementation—while serving as a technical leader within the development team.This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with large and evolving data sets, and blending technical excellence with user-centered design.What You’ll DoAs a Senior Software Developer, you will take ownership of both the technical and experiential aspects of our applications. Your responsibilities will include:Designing and delivering end-to-end user experience and application solutions across multiple platforms and productsCollaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and development plansCreating system designs and documentation using standard software design patterns and best practicesDeveloping high-quality, secure, and maintainable code in alignment with WHA coding standardsBuilding applications that summarize, categorize, and visualize complex data with intuitive drill-down and expansion capabilitiesDeveloping site maps, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts as neededCoordinating with cross-functional teams to support build, deployment, configuration, and ongoing supportProviding technical leadership, including peer code reviews and mentorship within the development teamTesting, debugging, and validating applications using both automated and manual test casesClearly communicating project status, risks, and issues to team members and leadershipWorking with internal teams and external vendors to define features and drive product designParticipating in Agile development processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiativesSupporting special projects and additional duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a well-rounded, technically strong developer who can think strategically, communicate clearly, and execute with precision.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or Software EngineerStrong experience with .NET developmentAt least 2 years of experience with modern web frameworks and technologies, including React.js, Next.js, HTML, and CSSAt least 2 years of experience with Node.jsExperience working with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, or SQL Server) and strong SQL skillsExperience implementing standard software design patterns and best practicesProficiency in working across Windows and Linux environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with ELK stackExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and DockerExperience working with or extending CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Mura)Experience in Agile development environmentsPrior experience in the healthcare industry, particularly within an HMOWhy Join Western Health Advantage?At Western Health Advantage, technology plays a critical role in supporting our mission and the people we serve.
