In order to become a Ryder employee you must:Be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hirePass a Ryder drug testPass a DOT physicalPass a Ryder road testPass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsSafety sensitive positionImportant note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.ResponsibilitiesFuel vehicles; record fuel activity/maintain proper fuel and DEF inventory and reconciliation; check oil; check tire pressureMove heavy duty vehicles; wash and detail vehicles; wash windowsMake multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies/procedureReport service issues to the shopPerform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs and align wheels per company procedurePerform some facility maintenance and assist with environmental compliance of the locationMaintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policiesPerform other duties as assignedRyder is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
