Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings in patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral health care instructions
- Follow in-office Perio Policy
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as Dentrix, for patient record management and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and explain treatment plans and patient education
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental coding systems
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and assess the patient's overall health status
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient schedules and maintain an efficient workflow
