Advantage Therapy Services is looking for a speech-language pathologist to work with clients aged 0-3 years.

We are a growing private practice located in Chico.

About us: Advantage Therapy Services was created by a husband and wife duo with a passion for helping their patients achieve their goals. Haley Willis (speech pathologist) and Rylan Willis (physical therapist) created a private practice that supports the mental, physical, and social well-being of their clients through a holistic approach to patient care.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a speech-language pathologist to specialize in early intervention services. This position is responsible for assessing and treating children with speech and language disorders through both in home services and occasionally in our office. This position provides services to clients while under clinical and professional guidance of Advantage Therapy Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Develop or implement treatment plans based on own assessments and recommendations of physician, psychologist, social workers, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
* Write reports and maintain proper documentation of information, such as billing records or caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge of clients.
* Analyze speech and language assessment results and medical/background information to develop goals and plan treatment
* Provide education with clients and family members.
* Supervise or collaborate with the therapy team.
* Participate in conferences, training, continuing education courses, or publish research results to share knowledge of new speech and language disorder treatment methods or technologies.
* Consult with and refer clients to additional medical or educational services.
* Communicate with non-speaking students using sign language or AAC technology.
* Analyze patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals.
* Maintain medical facility records.
* Maintain medical or professional knowledge, state licensure, and ASHA CCC’s.
* Prepare therapy materials.
* Prepare SOAP notes, evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
* Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatments accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
* Reliable Transportation
* California State Licensure for Speech Language Pathologist and ASHA CCC’s
* Prior experience with Microsoft Word Suite
* Ability to use the internet and basic computer skills
* Knowledge of safe workplace practices
* Dependable, strong work ethic, and ability to independently navigate issues

Physical Demands and Abilities
* Frequently Stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel
* Reach with hands and arms
* Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit/stand up from floor
* Regularly talk or hear
* Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
* Specific Vision Abilities required by this job include distance vision
* Driving for up to an hour at a time
