**Job Title:** Speech and Language Pathologist**Job Specialty:** Staff Augmentation**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Day 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** 16 hours per week**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Not specified**Certifications:** Not specified**Must-Have:** Flexible within working hours/days**Job Description:**- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine individuals' level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills.- Develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.- Design and personally deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, which may include hearing screenings.- Provide training and support for individuals using hearing aids and augmentative communication devices.- Design and deliver in-service training on speech-language techniques and protocols for staff carrying out communication and swallowing treatments.- Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary.- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care.- Attend meetings, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional skills and knowledge.- Counsel and inform guardians and family members regarding speech-language, hearing, and swallowing issues.- Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and other program-related documents necessary for implementing, modifying, and tracking progress of treatment/therapy programs.- Operate personal computers using office systems and specialized communication software to create, edit, and store records, reports, lesson plans, and treatment/therapy materials.- Maintain electronic augmentative communication devices and hearing aids.
