American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with at least two years of acute care cardiovascular OR experience and a current CA RN license. Job Details • Position is in an acute care Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), • Average of 23-25 cases per day across general surgery, vascular, ortho, endo, urology, and open heart surgery, • Operates 8 ORs daily, plus 2 dedicated heart rooms, • Day shifts with 12-hour shift length and required every other weekend shifts, • Minimum two weeknight call shifts per four-week schedule and every 2nd or 3rd weekend for call coverage; call shift starts at 1830 and ends at 0600, • No floating outside the OR, but CVOR RNs may float to Main OR as needed, • Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner proficiency required, • Scrubs are provided by the facility, • Support includes techs and a charge nurse on staff, Job Requirements • Active CA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience in an acute care setting, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred, • Must be able to work in both CVOR and general OR environments, • Cerner EMR experience required, • No first-time travelers will be considered, • Must provide two recent professional references (one supervisor from within last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within last 3 years), • Copy of driver's license required for consideration, Additional Information • Handles a wide variety of surgical cases, with a strong focus on open heart surgery, • Completion of all mandatory MyJourney learning modules required prior to start, • Must pass sterile technique competency on the first day of orientation, • Orientation includes 12 hours of onboarding, • Candidates may not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year, • Testing on dysrhythmia interpretation and sterile technique will be completed as part of onboarding, • All scrubs are provided onsite,
