Staff AccountantJob DescriptionThe Staff Accountant role is a critical position responsible for coordinating and operating accounting functions within an Oncology office. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Accountant and the Accounting Department to ensure accurate financial management.ResponsibilitiesRecord financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.Process payroll efficiently, with a preference for experience using Paycom.Enter deposits into accounting software and reconcile them with the billing system.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist with audits.Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve them.Perform bank reconciliations between bank records and internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies.Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting.Essential SkillsMinimum of two years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred.Accounting degree is preferred.Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.Proficiency in computer systems and applications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Paycom is preferred.Knowledge of Sage software is a big plus.Healthcare experience is a big plus.Skillful in month-end close processes.Work EnvironmentThis role offers a great team environment and a private office setting at a newly relocated facility.
