Primary Purpose of the Position

The Planning Associate is responsible for partnering with the Wealth Advisor in serving potential and existing clients. Tasks include communicating with prospects/clients to collect pertinent data, creating financial plans, scheduling financial planning reviews, streamline financial projections while using firm accessed planning software, eMoney. This role is responsible for providing clients with positive professional experience.

 

Main Responsibilities

·        Provide accurate, timely, and effective support for Wealth Managers and or the Director of Financial Planning, including preparing for upcoming meetings and post meeting follow-up.

o  Communicate with clients to prepare for meetings, organize and analyze client data and input into planning software(s), run portfolio reports, review data and run possible scenarios.

o  Assist Wealth Manager and or Director of Financial Planning in preparing the presentation of client information, participate in client meetings as needed and provide follow-up with clients.

o  Update and make changes to financial plans to ensure client’s goals are on track per projections and make changes to assumptions as necessary.

o  Collaborate with client’s legal, tax and other trusted advisers when necessary.

·        Build and maintain effective internal working relationships and support teamwork in meeting company goals.

o  Provide support to Wealth Managers structured in a team environment.

o  Provide assistance to other departments across the firm as needed.

o  Anticipate the needs of Wealth Managers and clients.

o  Some travel to visit clients may be required.

·        Support the financial planning department in developing and adopting improvements in Financial Planning.

o  Attend educational and other meetings as required.

o  Continually grow by developing expertise in subject matter and software use.

o  Help develop new planning standards.

o  Integrate new planning standards as new normal.

               ○    Master all financial planning tools available.

               ○    Teach financial planning tools to newer planners.

 

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree -

·        CFP Designation

·        4 plus years of experience in financial services or similar industry.

·        Works in a self-directed manner and detailed oriented.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Solid work ethic, professionalism, and positive attitude

. Proficient with EMoney planning software
