divh2Manufacturing Machine Operator II/h2pSchedule 6:40 PM 6:40 AM Rotating shift/ppLocation Orwell, OH/ph3Job Summary and Mission/h3pHandling and arranging various styles of inserts receiving physical vapor deposition coating (PVD) in heats to allow coating of all critical areas ensuring a quality product. Visually inspect PVD coated inserts./ph3Key Job Responsibilities/h3pBuild heats for PVD furnaces. Place inserts in appropriate predetermined fixturing according to process. Perform quality inspection and quantity verification of incoming product prior to coating. Originate documentation to accompany heats through the Coating Focused Factory. Visually inspect coated carbide inserts with unaided eye and microscope. Verify product and style match route card. Accurately record necessary information. Transfer inserts to next work center. Conduct daily housekeeping of work area and pass on pertinent information to oncoming shifts. Operate other equipment as needed./ph3Key Job Accountabilities/h3pCommitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Deviations in routine are handled according to operating procedures and/or work instructions. Operator responsible for following green insert control plan, assuring product is processed according to proper routings, specifications and the quantity and style are correct. Work to meet daily departmental production goals. Communicate safety, quality and product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts./ph3Education and Experience/h3pMust have High School diploma or GED. 2-year technical degree preferred./ph3Work Environment/h3pEnvironment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety Shoes are required. Gloves, cut resistant gloves when necessary./ph3Physical Demands/h3pApproximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight-hour work period OR 3 breaks for per 12 hour work period. Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds./ph3Problem Solving/h3pRun orders by due date. Follow control plan. Assignments and instructions communicated orally and carried out by standing guidelines.
