Assists in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings. Supervises the production of these drawings. Carries out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications and permit application packages.
Conducts engineering investigations and research to support project planning and production efforts. Collects and analyzes data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
Prepares technical reports and presentations.
Provide construction administration support including the review of shop drawings, attendance at meetings, and resolving conflicts in the field.
Performs data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
Performs engineering calculations and analyzes design solutions.
Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of civil engineering or related experience.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and capable of developing technical documents.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Significant experience with civil engineering design software is desired (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, ICPR, PONDS, Hec-Ras, etc.)
Florida Professional Engineering license is required.
Prior project management experience is required.
Education:
B.S. in Civil Engineering is required. Minimum of 8 years of qualifying experience in the field of land development engineering is required of incumbents along with prior project management experience.
