Superintendent Of ConstructionWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage all on-site activities for heavy civil and marine construction projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and client specifications.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.Maintain adherence to project schedules and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed.Enforce OSHA standards and safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation.Identify and resolve issues that could impact timelines or costs.Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.Manage equipment, deliveries, and material staging on-site.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction supervision.Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications.Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project).Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with DOT, bridge, and marine infrastructure projects.OSHA 30-hour certification.Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors.Experience in construction inspection, safety, and subcontractor management.5+ years of project superintendent work.Experience in heavy civil construction, including DOT, railroads, bridges, deep foundations, and excavating/sitework.Experience with projects exceeding $15 million.Familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam.Work EnvironmentThis position requires onsite work five days a week, with occasional time at client offices or project sites. The company operates a large fabrication facility and owns its equipment, producing high-grade parts for specialized projects.
