Our focus is on the patients, scientific rigor and flawless executionbringing breakthrough therapies to patients who need them./ppThe Director of Regional Marketing will lead the development and execution of strategies to engage scientific leaders and key influencers across the ophthalmology ecosystem. This role will ensure alignment between brand objectives and external advocacy, driving impactful partnerships that enhance disease awareness, product adoption, and market leadership. The position reports to the Executive Director, Scientific Strategy and Regional Marketing of Ophthalmology./ppPrimary Responsibilities:/pulliScientific Leader Identification Profiling:/liulliLead identification and mapping of national and regional scientific leaders (SLs) and emerging experts in ophthalmology and retina./li/ulliEngagement Planning Execution:/liulliStructure and implement engagement plans for SLs, including congress participation, site visits, and HQ-approved activities (e.g., advisory boards, customer strategy sessions)./liliGather actionable insights from SLs to inform marketing strategies and brand planning./li/ulliCongress Participation and Engagement:/liulliCollaborate with marketing team to determine participation in key ophthalmology conferences. Determine appropriate level of support and drive customer engagement activities during congresses./liliAttend major ophthalmology conferences and share key learnings with internal stakeholders./li/ulliSpeaker Bureau Development Readiness:/liulliHelp establish and manage a US Ophthalmology Speaker Bureau, including faculty identification and onboarding./liliSupport speaker readiness for national and regional product theatres/li/ulliTeam Leadership:/liulliDesign and build out the regional marketing team to prepare for launch/liliLead the team to execute engagement plans with key thought leaders throughout the US/li/ulliCross-Functional Collaboration:/liulliPartner with field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Global Medical Affairs to ensure alignment on SL needs and account dynamics./liliCompliance Governance:/liulliEnsure strict adherence to compliance regulations, internal policies, and industry standards in all engagement activities./li/ul/ulpEducation:/pulliRequired: Bachelors Degree/liliRequired: Minimum 6 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare experience, with at least 4 years in marketing, sales, or related commercial roles. Ophthalmology or retina experience required./liliProven experience in KOL engagement, congress planning, and insight generation./liliAbility to travel up to 60% (including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays)./liliPreferred: Existing relationships or experience collaborating with key opinion leaders within Ophthalmology/Retina Specialists./liliLaunch experience/li/ulpRequired Skills:/pulliCollaboration, Marketing, Marketing Strategies, Omnichannel Marketing, Ophthalmology, People Leadership, Product Launches, Strategic Thinking/liliPreferred Skills:/liulliU.S. Hybrid Work Model/liliEffective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence./liliThis Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.
