Senior AccountantAs a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. This role involves providing weekly financial reporting to the bank and ensuring accurate journal entries in TGI-ERP. Additionally, you will support ad hoc projects as needed.ResponsibilitiesReconcile account balances and bank statements.Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures.Provide financial reporting to the bank 1-2 times per week.Ensure accurate journal entries in TGI-ERP.Utilize Excel pivot tables and filters to manage financial data.Tweak trial balance files exported from ERP, especially for new GL codes.Support ad hoc projects as required.Log in for 1-2 hours on weekends, every other week, to ensure continuity of work.Essential Skills5-10+ years of accounting experience. Proficiency in cost accounting, reconciliation, and general accounting principles. Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and filters. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Ability to work independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis is a 4+ month contract position aimed at cleaning up accounting work. The team has been behind due to underperformance in previous roles. You will join a team consisting of a Controller, one Accounts Payable, one Accounts Receivable, one Billing, and one Purchasing Manager. Standard operating procedures are in place to aid in training.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pine Brook, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
