Material HandlerSpecialty Manufacturing is looking for a proactive and ambitious candidate to join our team as a Material Handler in our molding production department. This position is primarily responsible for moving, preparing and loading raw materials (resin) into dryers and hoppers. The Material Handler position reports directly to our Warehouse Manager and also partners with our Material Handlers across other production areas.Duties and ResponsibilitiesStage production orders and complete corresponding transactions in the computerPrepare, mix, and dry resins as instructedCollect finished goods and transport to shipping/warehouseRecord lot numbers of raw materials as neededPut new inventory in a specified warehouse area(s) and complete corresponding documentation materialsMaintain clean and safe production workspacesMaintain inventory- cycle counts, discrepancies, restock from warehouse, etc.Identify and report any quality issues or safety concernsOperate equipment in a safe and compliant manner (forklifts, mixers, drying equipment, and pallet jacks)All other duties as assignedMinimum and Preferred RequirementsEducationHigh School or GED requiredForklift certification is preferred- company provides onsite training and certificationExperiencePrevious experience in machining or injection molding environment preferredGeneral manufacturing or warehouse experience requiredKnowledge and SkillsStrong attention to detailBasic math skillsBasic understanding of English for written instruction and documentation purposesAbility to communicate effectively with peers and managementAbility to operate computers and relevant warehouse computer softwareFrequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. Employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to (50) pounds.Compensation and BenefitsExpected Compensation Range: Hourly, non-exempt- $18- $23 Specialty Manufacturing is providing the compensation range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
