Job Description

  • Commissioning Director will be responsible for planning, supporting and/or implementation of construction project completions and pre-commissioning / commissioning of a variety of facilities, including commercial and industrial installations.
  • position will be responsible for the tracking and testing for various facilities and completions documentation and verifications ensuring alignment with project contractual requirements.
  • to and promote company and site safety policies and assume an active role in all site safety activities
  • the review of contractual specification for completion and pre-commissioning requirements of projects.
  • coordination of activities and direct engagement with Client operations and commissioning staff.
  • and manage coordination with the Client’s DCS contractor.
  • to manage, control and forecast the complete budget for pre-commissioning / commissioning, including specialty subcontractors, training, and chemicals.
  • a strong understanding of the prime contract and project procedures, and ensure implementation of project requirements, while developing additional procedures as necessary to support the schedule.
  • all aspects of the pre-commissioning schedule including specialty subcontract and vendor training.
  • tracking, reporting and turnover documentation of projects and ensure field teams understand and implement the tools according to specifications.
  • the review, planning and communication of vendor requirements with personnel performing commissioning efforts on client projects.
  • the development and implementation of commissioning plans.
  • implementation by pre-commissioning team during execution of completion and commissioning activities.
  • constructability reviews
  • accept/reject verifications of construction status and completion on equipment.
  • inspection of installed devices and completion of field required setup and verifications.
  • coordination and checkout, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of project efforts by addressing problems and routine requirements of equipment and devices.
  • proper documentation of activities is maintained and the defined process is being followed in order to support record keeping and reporting requirements, including turnover documentation.
  • area commissioning managers, and pre-commissioning personnel in activities required by the Completions and Commissioning department.
  • projects for Completions and Commissioning, including proposal support.
  • understanding of various testing equipment operation processes and procedures as well as logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs) as integrated in startup procedures.
  • other duties as assigned.
  • with all policies and standards


Requirements:

  • School Diploma/GED and 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or - Associate Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 9 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or
  • Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 7 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required
  • in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • in Bluebeam and cloud-based software.
  • with the following systems:
  • generation / Boilers
  • treatment
  • compressors / Compressed Air Systems
  • towers
  • Treatment, loading & storage
  • material handling [MMA1]
  • MV and LV power distribution systems with the following systems is preferred but not required: conveying & loadout wash/dry/de-heeling facilities activation Flares and Building Systems
