This care is provided through direct and indirect physical and verbal interactions with clients, modeling appropriate behaviors for clients, and monitoring daily client activities. She/he screens incoming clients/visitors for contraband and inventories all client property as well as monitoring surveillance equipment. The Safety Specialist controls access to the center, answers/directs incoming clients, conducts physical security checks of the center grounds, and responds to fires and/or emergencies at the center. Maintains vigilance over the general milieu within the facility to facilitate quality client care, optimum facility operations and preserve the safety of all therein.Division/Program Overview:24/7 outpatient programRapid mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and medication supportWalk-ins welcomeClients may stay up to 24 hoursBHUCC equipped to serve 12 adults (ages 18 and up) and 6 adolescent (ages 13 to 17)For additional information, contact jerevilla@starsinc.comIn accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 17.71 - 24.79.
