Job Description:

Mainframe CICS and MQ Systems Programmer / Mainframe CICS and MQ administrator

Relevant Experience(in yrs)10 +


Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CICS, CICSPlex, MQ on z/OS
  • CICS & MQ Version Upgrades
  • Experience working with: CICS Performance Analyzer, SAS, IBM Utilities and diagnostic tools such as Omegamon and Mainview for CICS
  • Proficiency in the maintenance of IBM CICS & MQ software
  • Skilled at troubleshooting problems in CICS & MQ environment.
  • Strong dump analysis skills using IPCS
  • Knowledgeable in z/OS CONNECT and WAS.
  • Knowledgeable in zOSMF and ZOWE
  • Experience in using Xpeditor, Strobe, CICS Explorer, SysView, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, CICS-CTG
  • Experience in customizing ISPF Panels, RSU Maintenance, Analyzing and Fixing CICS Abends
  • Procedural controls for operation
  • Monitoring and gathering production statistics
  • Establishing procedures to control changes to the online system design


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage BAU (Business As Usual) Service Delivery for Mainframe Middleware CICS, MQ in a Technical Capacity
  • Provide Business hours support and then On-Call support as is the norm in BAU Service Delivery Role.
