The Senior Manager is one of our most senior management roles in the data center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a large organization, managing department heads who own data center facility infrastructure including the operational availability of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key Job ResponsibilitiesHiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including facilities managers, chief engineering managers and engineering operations technicians.Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency in support of our data center operations.Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data center build-outs, new colocation build-outs, AWS data center expansions, and colocation expansions, including the entire mechanical/electrical/plumbing infrastructure to facilitate the daily operation.Operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for Amazon data centers to include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and change management.Vendor management of colocation data center services providers, if required, to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA's.Oversight of a preventative maintenance system and the adherence to schedules, evaluation and performance of our infrastructure supporting the data center operations.Experience in successful insourcing and/or outsourcing specific maintenance task balancing internal skillsets with frugality.Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.About The TeamWhy AWSAmazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
