Senior Branch Manager (Danville, Va)This position provides strategic and experienced leadership and management for a high-opportunity branch team ensuring profitability, growth, and sound operation. This position is responsible for driving branch teammates to provide a best in class client experience while assisting new and existing clients through needs-based conversation and providing appropriate solutions to meet immediate, short-term and long-term financial needs. The Senior Branch Manager is responsible for strategizing and executing business development efforts in high-opportunity markets, including referrals to multiple lines of business. Community involvement is a key area of responsibility.Position AccountabilitiesResponsible for driving branch sales, service, and operational excellence performance results through:Deliver strong individual and team sales/referral performance in deposits, loans, investment and other product linesProvide excellent client experience through needs-based conversationsDirect, lead and coach superior sales and service behaviors and activities by the entire team, leveraging the Sales & Service PlaybookDrive business development of the branch to deliver both strong team performance and strong individual performance through personal productivity in the areas of small business, mass affluent, Workplace Solutions, and line of business partnershipsCollaborate frequently with other lines of business on market-level strategic initiatives, working closely with all line of business partners to meet bank-wide objectivesDevelop and execute plans in order to meet/exceed of branch sales goals while maintaining an operationally efficient and compliant branchDrive growth through outside business development, effectively calling on and developing relationships with centers of influence to generate client acquisition and referralsConduct sales efforts, as required, to bring in new primary relationships, while also maintaining and expanding existing personal and business banking relationships. Accountable for maximizing sales and client satisfaction while minimizing operating losses by executing the tactics and strategies outlined for the branchDrive sales outreach strategies including outbound calling utilizing available leadsReview performance results via analytics dashboards and other sources to assess performance and make necessary adjustments in team initiatives, teammate coaching, etc.Successfully execute Performance Leadership routines, coaching teammates, and utilizing formal observations and branch performance metrics in order to manage and measure branch successDevelop and maintain relationships with existing small business and mass affluent clients to continually retain/deepen those relationships, earn referrals, and achieve goalsDevelop effective COI network to contribute to business development and client growth successPromote and represent the bank through community involvement during and after business hoursSupport and implement initiatives for CRA and Fair LendingRepresent the Bank in targeted business or community organizations as well as participate in Bank-sponsored events and maintain a business referral networkAdhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Atlantic Union Bankshares' BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.Ensure that all required training is successfully completed by the entire teamEnsure branch follows bank procedures, internal controls, regulatory policies & procedures, risk management and the Code of ConductTalent Management and development:Interview and select candidates to fill branch positionsCoach, train, and develop branch team through formal observations and coaching sessionsManage teammate performance development process including performance reviewsEducate teammates on products, services, and digital capabilitiesAnalyze reports to respond and coach accordinglyConduct performance counseling, including making and recommending disciplinary action decisionsEnsure all teammates follow internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policiesOrganizational RelationshipThis position reports to the Market LeaderPosition QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience requiredSeven plus years retail banking experience requiredPrevious lending experience requiredFive plus years of management experience in a sales environment requiredPossess or be able to obtain NMLS registrationKnowledge & SkillsDeep knowledge and proficiency in retail banking and lending practicesAbility to transform financial information and business intelligence into actionAbility to develop business through community involvement, COI activities, and client referralsExcellent client service skillsDemonstrated leadership, coaching, and development skillsAdvanced, demonstrable knowledge of both outside and inside sales processes and best practicesExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in video conferencingAbility to exercise sound business judgmentKnowledge of risk management and loss preventionHighly skilled in digital channel technology and ability to educate clientsProficient with Microsoft Office suiteFlexible, able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel based on business needEvening and weekend hours required based on business needAble to stand for extended periods of time and lift objects up to 30 poundsSalary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
