Tax Project Manager - HybridJob Category: Finance and AccountingRequisition Number: TAXPR023569Location: East Butler, Pennsylvania, USAJob DetailsDescriptionEssential Job FunctionsManage and review tax returns and filings for all IHS subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submissionGather and prepare required schedules for federal, state, and local tax returns on a timely basis including but not limited to 990's, 1120s', 1065's, and 1099'sAnalyze and interpret financial reports used in financial statements and in preparation of tax filingsEnsure compliance with tax regulationsDevelop and maintain work papers and documentation detailing tax items with reconciliation to the general ledgerManage and track tax correspondenceCoordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as requiredMonitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact to IHSWork with Director and external auditors to coordinate retirement plan audits and timely filing of 5500'sAssist in procuring adequate insurance coverageAssist in overseeing self-insured employee benefit programsWork with Director and others in preparation of the annual budgetPrepare and coordinate documents required to maintain monthly journal entries for entities assignedDetermine and investigate material variancesProvide written explanations, notes and comments necessary for management reviewOther duties as assignedCompetency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]Required Qualifications/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or higher level of educationMinimum four (4) years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with concentration in taxStrong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverseProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications/ExperienceMaster's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.Experience in Healthcare finance or accounting setting.License, Certification & ClearancesAct 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police systemCertified Public Accountant preferred.Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkIncumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).Travel may be expected locally between System locations.Equal Employment OpportunityIndependence Health and its affiliated companies are Equal Opportunity Employers.
