We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer that will be instrumental in enhancing the development procedures. Working intimately with cross-functional teams, you will design and implement solid CI/CD pipelines and drive proactive and preventative approaches to prevent defects from occurring throughout the development lifecycle. This is a direct hire role that offers a hybrid work schedule


Position Summary

  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications and backend systems.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on web applications developed in JavaScript, CSS, and XHTML.
  • Conduct thorough testing of backend applications developed in Java and C#, ensuring robust data processing and system interactions.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools. Work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing. Proactively recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and any issues identified. Provide clear and concise reports to stakeholders.


Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Automated Software Quality Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in quality management systems, software testing tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Jenkins, and pipeline scripting.
  • Familiarity with testing web applications developed in JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, and backend applications in Java/C#.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments and source code control systems like Git.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus.
