ROLE

We are actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven IT Specialist to join our team and contribute to the management and enhancement of our organization's IT performance. As a key member of our team, the IT Specialist will play a crucial role in various aspects of our IT infrastructure and operations.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the VP - SATA USA. 
  • Manage and maintain IT systems, encompassing hardware, software, network infrastructure, and service provider management, while coordinating with the head office in Germany.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new systems and other critical applications.
  • Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Support SATA Canada operations (5%-10%).
  • Implement and maintain IT security measures to safeguard company data and assets.
  • Oversee documentation processes, including naming conventions, labeling, and floor plans.
  • Manage redundancy and failover capabilities for network, server, and storage systems.
  • Develop and maintain network logical designs, including IP address design and network segmentation.
  • Monitor and maintain video surveillance systems, including cameras, storage, and management stations.
  • Maintain warehouse PCs and manage inventory adjustment systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards and protocols, including backup procedures and virtualization technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Global) to support IT initiatives and projects.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, IT security protocols, and SAP integration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., vmWare) and backup solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, vmWare) are a plus.
