Custodial/GroundsThe University of Iowa Health Care department of Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian to provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors, and staff of UI Health Care. This position is scheduled to work second shift. Starting salary, $17.31/hour. The University of Iowa offers a generous benefits package.Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:General cleaningTrash removalStock supplies for cart and custodial areaClean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom suppliesDusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floorsCarpet cleaningUnit/bed makingWall & ceiling washingFurniture moves and room setupsUse various types of custodial equipment in performance of dutiesOther tasks and duties as assignedPosition may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk. This position is performed fully on campus.About Environmental Services:We as a department are responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of over 2.8 million square feet of the hospital. The department provides support through 24/7 operations.
