Description Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: UCHA Operations Float Pool FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Flex Pay: $19.10 - $24.83/hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: As an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by collecting and processing blood specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring high-quality care for our patients. Responsibilities: Utilize age-appropriate techniques to collect blood specimens. Accurately label, process, and deliver specimens for testing. Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for blood collection. Perform diverse tasks as needed, which may include clerical functions, registration, lab processing, send-out testing, point of care testing, EKG, pacemaker interrogation, pathology lab assistance, bone marrow assistance, apheresis, or therapeutic phlebotomy. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and decisive judgment while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a card in hand before your start date.
