Job PostingGeneral Purpose: Safely and efficiently operate Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) insulated tank trailer to transport raw milk from depot to plant. Drive over variety of streets and rural access roads.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Operate commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practicesFollow receiving schedule and directions from location supervisory personnel to move raw milk trailersTake measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumptionComplete driver logs, work completion reports and other reports as requiredVerify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destinationInspect truck and trailer for damage or broken equipment; promptly report damage or broken equipmentDisassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade levelComply fully with all FDA regulations governing the sanitary loading, transport and unloading of productAttend all driver workshops and training sessionsUse company supported applications or systems properlyRepresent DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnelRequirements:Education and Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalent2 or more years of tractor/trailer experience, within the last 5 years preferredMust meet minimum age requirementsMust meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle RecordsMust meet all DOT requirementsMust maintain milk sampling permitCertification and/or License Current CDL (Class A) in state of residence; must have a tanker endorsementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirementsSkill in proficient computer usageAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingSkills with math for calculating load size and recording accurate volume/weight measurementsAble to contribute to the positive performance behaviors through personal exampleAble to be proactive in seeking solutions, taking appropriate steps to solve problemsAble to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamworkAble to follow directions and meet deadlinesAble to present options and ideas to current processes or proceduresAble to interpret and apply company policiesAble to adapt and manage to change effectivelyAble to perform task and duties with minimal supervisionAble to take initiative in performing jobGood organization and record keeping skillsAble to be punctualMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransPay Range: $26 - $28
